One sided smooth, positive adjustment, large knob is easy to turn, 12mm of closure (closest competitor only has 7mm!).
TWO OPTIONS FOR LOCKING ROCKYMOUNTS PITCHFORK
The RockyMounts PitchFork fork mount bike rack includes the most innovative and theft-proof system available on the market today. Two options for locking the Pitch Fork carrier: OPTION 1) Just purchase one RockyMounts lock (not included; see accessory add-ons below). Insert into quick release skewer and lock, this will simultaneously lock bicycle to the bike rack and prevent access to the bike rack mounting bolts, preventing scummy thieves from simply removing the rack. OPTION 2) To make life the easist, simply buy a 2 pack of RockyMounts locks and insert one lock into the fork block head unit. Now the RockyMounts PitchFork will always be locked to the car rack crossbars. Use the second lock in the quick release skewer to lock bike to carrier. With fork block head always locked you don't have to ever worry about the rack being vulnerable to theft.
Premium low-profile design and styling and available in a rainbow of color options. Now integrated with disc-brake compatibility built right into the bike tray and fork mount block, no additional disc-brake adapter necessary! Fits all sizes of tires, from skinny road bike tires on up to any fat tires with a width up to 2.7" (which means it works with 29er's & full suspension mountain bikes). Bike tray is 2" longer than the former Lariat SL (again this allows for longer wheelbases found on full-suspension bikes, 29'ers etc). The modern looking, tubular aluminum bike tray is ultra-strong and includes an end cap. Rocky Mounts Quick Release skewer rides against nylon bushings for a snug & silent fit that prevents any rattling when not in use. Rear bike wheel ratchet strap is fully adjustable and easily secures the skinniest road tire on up to a 2.7" fat mountain bike tire, also compatible with deep-dish rims. Purchased this bike rack because the description said great rack at a good price and it's a fit for my Inno rack system. The description was spot on. This rack works with my mountain bike, my kids bikes, boys 20" and a girls 26", and friends' disc brake full size mountain bikes. If you can find a rack for this price that carries a variety of bikes and fits different rack systems, buy it. However I doubt you'll ever find such a value. Can't beat the customer service of ORS too.

This is my first bike rack though I've used many of my friends racks over the years. This rack easily fits my 29er wheels and I feel my bikes are completely safe with the stability and safety of this great rack. I bought the bright orange rack which also makes it very easy to find my car in a parking lot, or anywhere for that matter!
