The SportRack ABR622 Nomad Fork Mount Bike Rack accomplishes what most premium fork mount bike racks are unable to do --- mount directly to factory rack crossbars! Also attaches directly to all styles of Thule Racks base rack load bars, Inno Car Rack crossbars and Yakima Racks cross bars. Works with any bicycle using a quick release front skewer. The SportRack Nomad Fork Mount Bike Rack also comes equipped to accommodate full suspension bikes and disc brakes (also see accessory add-ons below for selection of fork adapters for non-tradidional bike fork / wheel axle setups). This is a complete fork mount bicycle carrier system that also includes universal mounting roof rack crossbar hardware, fully ratcheting rear wheel strap and universal 9 mm quick-release skewer.

I needed a couple of bike racks to slap on my factory crossbars. I didn't realize that most bike racks don't fit factory bars. But that is the case it turns out. The choices are rather slim and I ended up taking a chance on the very affordably priced Sportrack Nomad. I'm glad I went with it. Sure, compared to some of the other much more expensive rack options out there, the Nomad may be lacking some of the nicer features such as a locking skewer and a ratcheting wheel strap, but nonetheless it carries a bike very safely and securely. If all you want is a carrier that is reliable and transports your bike safely, save your money and get this rack.
