What can we say...we LOVE this innovative carrier! Quick is what you get in the Thule 501 Insta-Gater bike rack for pick-up truck beds. Lightning quick and easy to load your bike in the InstaGater rack, no need to remove the wheels and takes just 10 seconds to load! The Thule Racks SecureHook simply ratchets down and secures & stabilizes the bicycle by grabbing the wheel - does not contact the bike frame. Just as easy to install the carrier in the bed of your pickup truck too. Installation of the Thule Insta-Gater bike rack in the truck bed is done by simply opening the tailgate, setting the carrier on the pickup truckbed with the Insta-Gator tailgate anchor between the tailgate and the bed, and closing the tailgate. The ratcheting straps easily secure the bicycle carrier in place, there are absolutely no other adjustments that need to be hassled with.
Lock your bike inside the bike rack using a Thule lock cylinder (not included; see accessory add-ons below). Room enough in truck beds for multiple Insta-Gaters, carry two bikes in smaller sized pickup truck beds and up to three in a full size truck bed. The InstaGator accommodates all types of bicycles, even single front forks like the Lefty, bikes with disc brakes, BMX bicycles, road bikes and downhill mountain bikes including 29ers. Fits any bike wheels from 20" to 29" (virtually all bikes fit within this measurement range). Also works in other vehicles such as Jeep Wrangler 4-door model etc.

ORDERING NOTES
We highly recommend a Thule lock cylinder (not included; see accessory add-ons above) to lock your bicycle inside the bike carrier to prevent theft.
Certain pick-up trucks with short beds or short height camper shells and caps may not be compatible with this carrier, as the bicycle is transported upright with both wheels on. We recommend first putting your bike in your truckbed (if you haven't ever before) to ensure your truck bed is long enough and, if applicable, your truck cap or camper shell is tall enough.
