The Thule 460 Podium roof rack requires no custom installation and mounts quickly to the Madza Speed6 fixed rack attachment points via the included set of Thule 3069 Podium Fit Kit brackets. With the Thule 460 Podium multi-purpose base rack solution installed you can then attach any gear carriers from Inno, Yakima, Thule etc. directly to the Thule 460 Podium base rack cross bars for transporting your gear.

A.K. explains, "I am using the #4 Landing Pads. The Mazda Speed6 has 4 single bolt permanent attachment points (fixed-point attachments) hiding under the flush black roof rails. The #4 Landing Pads are a two bolt attachment, so I took some scrap stainless steel bar and made four custom adapters that allowed me to bolt each Landing Pad to the single roof anchor attachment point. This is not a permanent installation, and can be removed very quickly, by simply unbolting the Landing Pads via the single bolt used with each of the four Landing Pads. The only evidence of the installation are the 4 holes that needed to be easily drilled in the Mazda Speed6 roof rails to access the attachment points, which can be plugged with 4 small rubber plugs."
