All systems and components listed below... D.C. explains, "I purchased a 2008 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab extended bed truck back in November. I had a little money left over and wanted to find a bike rack system for traveling when I go road and mountain biking with friends. I did a search on the internet and came across ORS Racks Direct and after a brief comparison of prices and shipping...SOLD!! I purchased the Rocky Mounts Clutch SD truck bike rack for Nissan pickup trucks and other trucks with truck bed tracks. I also bought the Yakima 25MM and 15MM Axle fork adaptors for bike racks for both style of mountain bikes that I transport on the RockyMount Clutch SD bike racks. This definitely improves the ease and comfort of travel with bikes. I use a Yakima Rack for the rear hitch but have moved almost exclusively to the Rocky Mounts Clutch SD for both road bike and mountain bike travel. I am able to quickly adjust where the Rocky Mounts sit in the bed of the truck and increase the number of bikes I can fit. I have been able to use the Rocky Mounts for the road bike through the winter but had to wait until this February to take it on an extended vacation and trial period. Having said that, I traveled 700 total miles over one weekend with the bikes in rack to get my first mountain bike rides in for the 2011 season. Well worth the wait! I rode in St. George, Utah on the Bear Claw Poppy Trail and in Boulder City, Nevada to try out Bootleg Canyon. We hit some inclimate weather on the way back to Salt Lake and with the Rocky Mounts Clutch system the bikes are protected pretty well behind the cab of the truck. The bikes stayed stable in the rack against the wind. However, a ferring on top of the bed would have helped a bit more with rain and snow. ;) I'm already looking forward to adventures in Moab, UT."
