First, get the Thule 3021 Podium Fit Kit with the 460 Podium roof rack system for the Ford Transit Connect. It's an easy conversion and a perfect fit to the Transit's pre-drilled and threaded receivers/nuts in the roof. Use an Allen wrench to remove the factory installed plugs and then combine the fit kit and the bases together. Keep everything loose until you align the racks, then tighten the whole thing down. Simple. The basket, on the other hand, is a bit more work.
For one thing, the standard size MOAB basket is too small to span the Transit's roof racks. You need to buy the extension. The extension fits between the front and back portions of the MOAB. This is a high quality rack and basket system so you don't have to worry about things not lining-up. However, be patient with the instructions. They're concise to the point of being spare.
