For optimum, carrying capacity, the Inno INA450 Kayak Carrier is the way to go. The Inno INA450 kayak rack efficiently holds 2 kayaks right out of the box. So you are getting two kayak carriers in one! Carry one or two kayaks, the choice is yours. Universally compatible with all styles of kayaks. Mounts directly to virtually all crossbars without the need for adapters. The generously padded upright posts protect the surface of each kayak and can be easily folded down when not in use for improved fuel economy and clearance when pulling into garages and under low overhangs. Most upright kayak stackers require you to hold the kayaks in place yourself while strapping them down, which can be very difficult. However, the Inno INA450 kayak rack includes two a pairs of Inno INA451 padded cradles which act as stops to prevent kayaks from slipping when they are on their side, so the strapping down process is much easier. The upright posts and the cradles have tie down loops to guide straps and ensure proper tightening. A set of heavy-duty straps with padded buckles is also included.

I love the Inno INA450 kayak rack. It was quick and easy to install and looks cool on my Toyota 4Runner. I can load and secure my kayaks in less than 1/2 of the time it used to take without it.

This rack was easy to install on factory racks and easy to use with two kayaks. The kayaks didn't budge during a 6 hour car trip and left no dents in the kayaks either. I would highly recommend this rack. We could easily fit a third kayak on the roof with additional INA451 cradles even on the factory rack!

I bought this specifically because I had an Inno base rack already, and I wanted a stacker type to leave room for my roof box. And I had to be comfortable driving on the Maine Turnpike for 4 hours. This setup was rock solid at highway (65-70 that is) speeds. Love that it folds down when not in use.

The INA 450 is easy to install and it takes only minutes to load two ocean-going kayaks. The strapping mechanism is simple but extremely secure and holds the kayaks tightly to the rack. Loading and use is simple for my wife and me, both over 60 years old. This is an excellent and well-built product that works great with the factory installed roof racks.

The padded saddles that mount directly to the Ford Escape factory cross bars make all the difference for ease of loading, kayak protection, and secure strap down without the multiple loops suggested by other manufacturers. Can't figure out why the competitors don't have this feature which is well worth the extra $20 or so. Not even a hint of vibration or shifting at 70 mph w/2 kayaks. I'm not enamored of the way the fold-down feature works, but this is a relatively small detraction.

I bought this so we could easily carry 2 kayaks. This model was much more cost effective than buying 2 sets of other kayak carriers. It also seems like it will be easier for me to use on my own to load my kayak (I'm 5'1"), but I have yet to try it on my own. It was relatively easy to install and carries the two kayaks very securely. I just purchased this in the winter so I only used it once, but so far it seems to be exactly what I needed.

Before getting our kayaks I searched many sites for a good carrier. I initially only looked at the Yakima and Thule products because those were the names I had heard before and they both have good reputations. After finding the Inno rack, we decided to give it a try for several reasons. 1.The price was good 2.The included Inno 451 cradle stops (how could anyone load more than one kayak without them???) 3. We were pretty certain that it would easily fit our aftermarket rack. Our purchase of the Inno rack has satisfied all of our needs. Loading and unloading is quick and easy and we don't worry about the security of our yaks!

Rob asks - I am trying to attach an INA450 kayak rack to my factory "aero style" crossbars and they are taller / thicker than normal. I understand that I can purchase some long bolt kits to allow it to fit. Which kits would I need in order to be able to mount the posts and two sets of cradles for two kayaks?
ORS Crew explains - Great question, for the INA450, you will need two long bolt kits…the ISF711 for the 2 kayak rack posts and the ISF716 for each of the 4 cradles.
YAKDAVE asks - I have a Yakima rack with the round cross bars, and I mounted the INA450 to them. Works great, I do notice that when there's nothing loaded on the INA450 I can roll the mounts a little back and forth (not side to side though). I saw that the Inno ISF715 round bar adapter is made for Yakima bars. Should I use this adapter to connect the carrier, and will this eliminate the Stacker from moving when I'm not carrying a kayak?
ORS Crew answers - Yes, most Inno gear carriers (including the INA450 Stacker), when mounting to Yakima base rack system round cross bars are recommended to use the Inno ISF715 round bar adaptor. This will eliminate the possible rolling or slippage caused by the round bar. You can, of course, mount any Inno carriers directly to a round bar but when not in use they may have a tendency to roll slightly.
Curt K. asks - Will this work on a 2004 Ford Explorer factory rack and allow me to carry two kayaks on the factory crossbars? If so do I need any additional adapters or anything?
ORS Crew answers - Yes, this works as an excellent 2004 ord Explorer kayak rack for transporting two kayaks on the Explorer factory bars. It attaches directly to the factory bars, no extra adapters needed. You'll have enough room for your 2 kayaks.
eecollins1 asks - Will this rack work on a 2008 Toyota 4Runner factory rack? Looks perfect for carrying my two kayaks and won't take up too much room on the crossbars. If it fits I'll buy it. Thanks.
ORS Crew answers - Yes this is a perfect fit on the factory roof rack crossbars of the 2008 Toyota 4Runner, and indeed will serve you very well for carrying 2 kayaks for years and years.
Jay S. asks - Can the INA 450 be used with two 14' boats? I have seen most stackers limited at 12'.
ORS Crew answers - This length is not a problem at all. The INA 450 is engineered more like a j-cradle style carrier and also uses the included INA451 cradle stops to further support long kayaks. To be totally safe, we do recommend using a two pairs of bow & stern tie-down straps (one pair for each kayak) to fully stabilize the kayaks during transport.
AGIB asks - Does the INA450 come with 4 straps or just 2?
ORS Crew answers - It includes 2 straps, designed to encompass both boats that would be stacked on the same side. It isn't recommended to carry boats on both sides of the upright posts. In that case you would want a true kayak stacker such as the Malone Stax Pro 2, Thule 830 Stacker or the Yakima BigStack.
Barry T. asks - Will this work on a 2010 Lexus RX350 with a factory rack and allow me to carry two kayaks on the factory crossbars? Do I need any additional adapters or other equipment?
ORS Crew answers - No additional components required for attaching this carrier to the factory crossbars and using as a 2010 Lexus RX350 kayak rack for 2 kayaks.
Laura E. asks - I like this carrier but am worried I won't be able to load my kayak by myself when solo kayaking. I also plan to use a canoe rack and will sometimes be loading the canoe by myself. Is there any accessory I can use to help me load the canoe or kayak by myself?
ORS Crew answers - We highly recommend the the Inno INA453 kayak-canoe lift assist. Attaches to any style crossbars, including Yakima, Thule and factory rack cross bars. Simply fold out the loading bar and place one end of the kayak or canoe on the bar. Then lift the other side of the boat into place on the rack, allowing the loading bar to do the heavy lifting. Then slide the kayak or canoe off the loading bar and into position onto the rack. Simply reverse procedure when unloading the boat.
