Good Product

My INA945 just got here. I opened the box and tried to follow the instruction but they just did not make sense to me. After 10 min, I just winged it. It mounted the my factory bars perfectly. I pulled out the snowboards to find it can hold 4 snowboards with ease. Just adjust the height to the highest. Also note that my boards are wide because of my size 12 foot. The quick release function is very quick. I put them on and off a few times. The last time is took approx 3 min to install and uninstall. The slide function works, but not as easy as I thought. The unlock button is a little stiff but if you push down on the clamp before you push the button, it opens easily. The price is a steal. When mounted close to one side of the vehicle, it is easy to laod and unload. Also keep in mind this is my first rack. I do recommend this to others.
Loading Skis & Snowboards is a Cinch

The Inno Rail Slider is a great ski rack that makes loading and unloading skis and snowboards a cinch with the slide out feature. The clamping system makes installation and removal of the RailSlider ski rack easy as can be. Our crossbars required the longer bolts and it was so nice that they were included.

We needed an affordable ski carrier to mount to our factory bars. After looking around, we chose the Rail Slider because it had the sliding action, which we love--no more salt and dirt on our jackets!--and it was priced similarly to Yakima and Thule's basic models. We have been very pleased with the performance so far. Bindings have plenty of clearance with the rack in the highest position. This is a great product!!
Excellent Alternative to Thule and Yakima Racks

The Inno INA945 is an all-in-one package for transporting skis and snowboards. The sliding action, adjustable height, build quality, and incredibly easy installation/removal from the crossbars make this a terrific product. After several road trips to the slopes, I have been very impressed with the overall performance of the racks. The wind noise is minimal and I have not noticed any major reduction in gas mileage due to wind drag. The sliding action is obviously a great feature for taller vehicles. I did notice that when the rack is set to its lowest height adjustment, the sliders get slightly scratched as they slide past (really through) the lock assembly components. When raised to the highest setting, the sliders clear these metal parts without scratching. I also noticed that when the rack is set to its highest adjustment, the effectiveness of the anti-theft mechanism is reduced. With minimal effort, a crafty thief could pop open the hinges and take the racks (and your precious gear) right off of your crossbars. Since I don't plan on using the highest setting, this is not a major concern for me. Overall, the Inno INA 945 is a great choice for the boarder or skier who is not overly concerned with labels and big-brand names. If you want a rack that can do everything (and more) than the competition, check this product out.

The Inno INA945 slider ski rack is great. works just fine. However, to make it fit with the factory cross bars you need the Inno ISF711 longer bolt kit.

ORS Crew says - The Inno INA711 long bolts kit is required for attaching this carrier to specific oversized fat/thick factory rack cross bars including Nissan XTerra factory bars, Nissan Frontier factory bars etc.
ORS Crew says - Most Inno gear carriers (including the INA945 Rail Slider II), when mounting to Yakima base rack system round cross bars, are recommended to use the Inno ISF715 round bar adapter kit. This will eliminate the possible rolling or slight slippage caused by the round bar when not transporting anything on the gear carrier. You can, of course, mount any Inno carriers directly to a round bar but when not in use they may have a tendency to roll slightly.
Brad asks - What is the length of the INA945 from end to end.
Caroline answers - It measures 33" wide from end to end. Also, the inner width of the cradle jaws where the skis and snowboards are carried is 23.5" wide.
