No more worrying about leaving my surfboards unattended while I go check out the waves or when I'm getting something to eat. Boards are easily mounted/unmounted and are easily strapped, fast and secure. Well worth the price.

The locking feature is great, it gives you peace of mind and allows you to not worry about somebody jacking your boards if you are away from your car. It is so easy to use that I can get all three of my boards locked up in under a minute. Nice solid construction.

These racks make transporting, and locking my surfboards to my racks very easy and quick. They are the best surfboard carriers that I have ever used.
Quit looking elsewhere-this is it!
this Inno INA744 BoardLocker review by Jay Reale
vehicle year/make/model: 2009 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab Long Bed
item(s) transported: Shortboard and longboard
I got a new Tacoma with a camper shell over the bed earlier this summer. The shell had built-in racks and I wanted a surfboard rack that would lock the boards on the roof in case I needed to duck into a store or in case I wanted to ride my shortboard and leave the longboard on the roof without getting it stolen. After some research, I found the Inno Board Locker here on ORS Racks Direct and went for it. I have to say, I've been a satisfied customer since Day One. Putting the board on the rack requires zero moving of the straps since they're suspended in the air by the crane system. Once on, it's super-easy to lock 'em down with a few cranks of the ratchet system, and voila, they're on. Locking them is a simple 1/4 turn of a key. Blows away any other surfboard rack system I've seen out there.
Best Surfboard rack out there!!!
this Inno BoardLocker review by Zorn
vehicle year/make/model: 2002 Chevy Blazer
item(s) transported: Surfboards
The Inno BoardLocker is the best surf rack out there. It is super easy to use and it the only rack out there that locks the boards to your roof, so when you run into the convenience store for that cold six pack or if you’re going for some fish tacos, you don’t have to stress that some scumbag is gonna steal your board. In the parking lot at the beach, I almost always get comments on the thing when people see how easy it is to load boards. These are the dudes who still use straps and have to climb all over and around their cars to tighten the things down and then have to bust out some crazy cable lock. Not me, I got the BoardLocker. Go Inno!
Surfboard rack perfected
this Inno BoardLocker review by SurferDan
vehicle year/make/model: 2004 Toyota Solara
item(s) transported: surfboards
The BoardLocker has solved all the problems associated with other surfboard racks: the buzzing noise from the straps, the hassle of loading, the non-locking deal, and less that bomber security. And they are super easy to install without tools and they fit on factory bars, as well as Thule and Yakima bars. The rubber padding protects your board so you don’t have to worry about damage, and you can carry up to three boards, which is yet another thing it has over the other surfracks out there. Simply put, the BoardLocker is surfboard rack perfected.

ORS Crew says - The Inno INA-711 long bolts kit is required for attaching this carrier to specific oversized fat/thick factory rack cross bars including Nissan XTerra factory bars, Nissan Frontier factory bars etc.
Andy Birel asks - What is the overall width of this product on the bars? I'm looking at mounting it side-by-side with another product and am just doing width calculations to see.
ORS Crew answers - The total width is 28.25" between the two mounting clamps, measured center to center.
ORS Crew says - This carrier has a board width restriction of 24 inches. If your board is wider than 24" we suggest the Inno INA444 Locker as a great alternative for your needs.
ORS Crew says - Most Inno gear carriers (including the INA744 Surfboard Locker), when mounting to Yakima base rack system round cross bars, are recommended to use the Inno ISF715 round bar adapter kit. This will eliminate the possible rolling or slight slippage caused by the round bar when not transporting anything on the gear carrier. You can, of course, mount any Inno carriers directly to a round bar but when not in use they may have a tendency to roll slightly.
Thomas asks - I have a 2007 Nissan Xterra. The newer Xterras have rather large factory roof racks. Will the Inno Boardlocker fit on my rack?
Kooky-Stylie answers - yep. Board Locker works perfect as a 2007 Nissan Xterra surfboard rack, just make sure to also use the ISF-111 Long Bolt adapter kit with the mounting hardware (see accessory add-ons above).
Tim asks - I have a Paddle Board SUP that is 29in. wide. Is the INA744 wide enough to work with the SUP? Also I have a Toyota FJ Cruiser, will the INA744 surf rack fit on the factory racks? Can you recommend a bar pad for the factory rack? Your website states the Inno pads will not fit factory racks.
ORS Racks Direct Crew answers - The BoardLocker works on your Toyota FJ Cruiser factory roof rack cross bars. However, the BoardLocker has a width restriction of 24". Your SUP stand up paddleboard is too wide for this carrier. For SUP stand up paddleboards we highly recommend the Inno INA444 Locker instead. No width restriction and includes factory rack compatible foam pads and integrated lock system.
Fabrice asks - I have a Ron House Laird SUP 11'6 with a mid of 29'', will it fit this carrier?
ORS Racks Direct crew answers - The BoardLocker can only handle surfboards and stand up paddle boards with a maximum width of 24 inches. For anything larger you'll want to go with the Inno INA444 instead.
[SEE BELOW FOR UPDATE ON SUP COMPATIBILITY]
Scott asks - I've been told that although the max width is 24", a wider board or SUP can be secured in the BoardLocker by using a longer pad. Is this true?
RACKDAWG answers - Yes this carrier is wide surfboard and Stand Up Paddle Board compatible... if you use a longer aftermarket board pad and wrap it around the 24” integrated bar on the surf rack, allowing the very wide surfboard or stand up paddle board to be lifted to the same height as the ratcheting side cover. You can then carry them no problem.
Miles Kuras asks - I have Volkswagon factory bar racks (also called Votex roof racks) and am not sure if the Inno Boardlock surf rack will fit on them?
ORS Crew answers - Yes, this surfboard rack includes universal mounting clamps that enable it to mount directly to VW factory racks / Votex roof rack cross bars.
J. Devaney asks - Is this the best surfboard rack for my 2005 Mazda MPV factory rack bars?
ORS Crew answers - This is currently the best selling factory rack compatible surfboard rack and is an excellent choice for your Mazda MPV, so yes many would consider this to be the best option.
Brian asks - I have a 2007 Ford Focus with aftermarket Whispbar racks and plan on using it for 2 long boards, would you use the INA744 or the INA444 Inno Boardlocker for long boards?
ORS Crew answers - The INA744 has a 24" width restriction. If your long boards are wider than that then go with the INA444. Also, the Thule 809 Double Decker surfboard rack is a good locking surfboard rack option for long boards.
