I spent alot of time researching bike racks and cannot be happier with my choice to purchase the Saris Bones 2 rack. This rack is easy to install, very stable, well constructed and keeps the bike(s) in place without much movement at all. I was mainly concerned with whether there would be damage to the vehicle from the rack, straps of bicycle(s) swaying into the car. I installed the rack the day that I received it and have used it several times without any damage at all. This is a great rack and ORS Racks Direct has been awesome to deal with. I ordered the rack on line on Memorial Day (a Monday) and the rack was on my porch on Thursday. Outstanding service!!!

The Saris Racks Bones 2 trunk bike rack perfectly fits my 2010 Honda Accord coupe, at first I was afraid that the rack might hit my car's trunk spoiler, but after a few adjustments (thanks to the rack's fully adjustable legs and feet) everything fits perfectly in place. The rack transported our 2 bicycles with ease, we drove for around 2hrs on the freeway traveling around 65-70miles/hr and we had no problem at all, it was completely secure at high speeds. The straps where also very helpful and it stabilizes the bike in place. Installation was easy and fast. Thank you again ORS Racks Direct, we are very happy with this product.

Bought this rack for a 250 mile trip this summer. I even fully loaded the Bones 2 bike rack with three bikes (one adult and two heavy kids' bikes), rack worked flawlessly. Very light and easy to install.

Great rack for my Honda Civic. It looks like it could fit any size/shape car. I can transport 2 road bikes or mountain bikes. Attaching the rack is fairly easy, and the bikes are secure. ORS Racks Direct is the only place I buy racks. Prices are low and customer service is excellent. No, I don't work for them, I just think they are your one stop shopping for bike or ski racks.

The rack is a little tough to figure out at first, but I watched a video on the internet and got it adjusted correctly. With two bikes, the top foot does not always sit firmly on the back glass (especially over bumpy roads) because of the weight, I suppose, but that doesn't seem to be a problem. I drove two bikes for two days to Louisiana and two days back with no problems. You do have to be aware, with the Honda Fit, that the windshield wipers must be in the "off" position when you start the car. Otherwise the rear wiper rises up and strikes the foot. Not a problem, but nice to avoid.

Very easy to install; incredibly stable! I never worry about my bike or the trunk lid's surface -- the Saris Bones is a great piece of artful engineering that safely transports up to two bikes. The service from ORS Racks Direct was equally fantastic -- prompt communication regarding the status of the order and quick, free ground shipping. Highly recommend the rack and ORS!

R.D. asks - Will the Saris Bones 2 and 3 models work on the following: 2001 Saab 9.3 convertible / 2004 Buick Park Avenue 4-door sedan.
ORS Crew answers - Yes the Saris Bones 2 and Bones 3 models are compatible with both of those vehicles. An excellent choice for a Saab 9-3 convertible trunk bike rack and Buick Park Avenue trunk mount bike rack. They easily transfer between the two vehicles as well.
Wayne asks - Where is the best place to put the upper legs of the Bones trunk rack frame on a hatchback? (I also asked this question on the Bones 3 page.)
ORS Crew answers - Great question, the Bones has no specific 'Fit Dial' mechanism, found on some other competitors' trunk bike rack models, that will tell you exactly where to position the frame for each specific vehicle. However, the Bones works off a very simple installation procedure where you first make sure the feetof the lower legs on the bottom of the frame are firmly placed and supported on the bumper. Then for all hatchbacks you open up the top part of the frame to the fully open position. Check out the installation instructions (see link above ) and view the installation diagrams for different vehicle models (coupe/sedan trunks, hatchbacks and SUV's), you will want to refer to Figure 3b which shows the Bones installed on a hatchback, notice the frame is fully opened wide with the bottom legs on the bumper and the top legs then positioned where the rack naturally falls into place on the rear of the car. You then tighten the straps to ensure the rack remains in this position.

ORS Crew answers - Yes this is a confirmed and sanctioned fit, a superb choice for a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan trunk bike rack (or rear hatch door mount bike rack in your case).

ORS Crew answers - They are not compatible with the STS. However you are correct about the Corolla, they both work superbly as 2010 Toyota Corolla trunk bike racks.
J. Rady asks - Why are the Saris Bones 2 and 3 racks OK for a 2006 Subaru Outback Wagon but the Thule 9001 and 9002 RaceWay racks are NOT OK when the straps / cables attached to the rear hatch spoiler would seem to have the same bearing load?
ORS Crew answers - Great question. The reason is because the Bones will fit with the use of the Saris 3035 Hatch Huggers strap clips (sold separately) which replace the regular upper strap clips that are included with the Bones bike racks. The Thule RaceWay trunk bike racks do not offer this 'Hatch Hugger' option, thus the Thule models are not compatible as trunk bike racks for a 2006 Subaru Outback while the Bones models will work (with use of the Hatch Huggers accessory).
