Designed for Saris Racks by award winning designer Fabio Pedrini, the 4239 Saris Thelma 3 Bike Hitch Rack is the easiest to use and lightest platform style hitch bike rack available today. Weighing just 31 pounds, you can effortlessly lift, install and remove this beauty. And now installs directly on both 2 inch and 1-1/4 inch trailer hitches, no additional adapter components required!
The 4239 Saris Thelma 3 Bike Hitch Mount Rack holds 3 bicycles and universally fits both 1.25" and 2" hitch receivers. Uniquely contoured wheel cradles fit like a glove over virtually any size tire, from skinny 700c road bike tires to cruisers, hybrids and knobby fat mountain bike tires, even 29" 29er mountain bike tires. The Saris Thelma 3 bike tray wheel cradles hold your bikes solidly and securely no matter how far you're traveling (for transporting kids bikes and bmx bikes with 20" wheels we recommend the Saris Thelma Juvenile hitch bike rack or Saris Thelma Juvenile Add-On accessory (not included; see accessory add-ons below). The included wheel ratchet straps are simple to use, click into place and stay tight against the wheels. Best of all the Saris Thelma 3 doesn't ever touch your bike frame so no worries about markings or damaged bike frame paint jobs. Saris Thelma hitch bike rack conveniently folds up and out of the way when not is use too. The included anti-wobble hitch bolt keeps hitch base solid & tight in hitch receiver.

3 Bikes On A 1.25 inch Hitch Receiver!

The Thelma 3 is the only 3 bike rack made for a 1.25 in. receiver hitch I could find. It's a quantum leap up from my previous rack. Made a 36 hour trip with three 29ers shortly after purchase. No problems!

Gib Johnson asks - We drive a Ford F-350 and have a 2" trailer hitch on both the front and the back of the truck. Can you put the Saris Thelma hitch bike Rack on the front of the truck without impeding your view excessively? We travel with a lance camper and a bike rack in the back would block the entrance to the camper.
ORS Crew answers - Absolutely you can use this carrier on a front trailer hitch. Many customers use this configuration due to issues with the rear of the vehicle (blocked camper entrance such as your situation, already using rear trailer hitch to tow a camper etc.) Here is a good example picture of a bike rack on front hitch of Ford F450 (using the Thule 916XTR T2, also a good choice for your needs).
IBH asks - We have 2010 Ford Taurus 4DR. With the Thelma 3 installed can you open the trunk when the bikes are on the rack? Thanks.
ORS Crew answers - Yes you will still be able to open the Ford Taurus trunk with the rack installed and the bikes loaded.
