The complete Thule 400XT Aero Half Pack roof rack system is the multi-purpose base rack solution for cars and trucks without rain gutters or factory racks and only need one Thule load bar and 2 Thule 400XT Aero Feet instead of the normal 2 load bars and 4 Thule 400XT Aero Feet. The Half Pack system is an especially great component for creating car & truck racks to carry kayaks, canoes, lumber, ladders etc on gutterless trucks and cars when used in combination with a rear receiver hitch rack or a pickup truckbed rack. For example, use a Thule 400XT Half Pack roof rack system up front on the car or pickup truck cab roof and a Thule 997 Goal Post hitch mount canoe/kayak/ladder rack (sold separately; see accessory add-ons below) on the rear of your vehicle. Or use the 400XT Aero 1/2 Pack system up front and a Thule Xsporter truck rack system (sold separately; see accessory add-ons below) in the truckbed.
The complete Thule 400XT Aero Half Pack roof rack system includes all 3 components that are necessary to attach two 400XT Aero Feet & one load bar to your pickup truck cab roof or car roof top:
- Two (2) 400XT Aero Feet.
- Two (2) Thule Fit Kit clips (specific to your vehicle; see ordering notes below. You may receive all 4 Fit Kit Clips, since a majority of the Thule Fit Kit Clip models are not offered as just one pair).
- One (1) Thule Load bar. (bar end caps included).
Thule Half Packs are a great solution for creating car & truck racks to carry watersport gear like canoes, kayaks etc. Carry longer gear including construction equipment and materials like ladders, lumber, piping and more. (Thule 997 Goal Post sold separately; see accessory add-ons below.)
Can be locked to the vehicle using two Thule One Key System lock cylinders (not included; see accessory add-ons below). Protective surfaces on Half Pack prevent shifting and protect vehicle's paint.
