Made with high quality materials and smartly designed for easy installation. ORS Racks Direct went above and beyond the call of duty with service. They recognized that I had ordered a size that was not optimal for my vehicle and made the adjustment for me. Saved me time and trouble.
What Can I say, It's Thule and ORS!!!
this Thule 450 CrossRoad review by Rob NY
vehicle year/make/model: 2004 Jeep Wrangler
item(s) transported: snowboards and surfboards
Received the racks quicker then expected from ORS! I carry four snowboards or a pile of surfboards and this base rack system makes switching from snowboard rack to surfboard rack a cinch. Thule and the selection from ORS is out standing.
Easy to use.

Very easy to install on the factory rails. I also bought a Thule cargo box for the roof. Makes for easy extra storage.
The Best Rack for Side Rails!
this Thule 450 CrossRoad review by 4thetrees
vehicle year/make/model: 2008 Toyota Sienna
item(s) transported: bikes for family of 4
When my oldest son decided mountain biking was HIS thing, how could we say anything other than 'we'll join you!" So now our entire family takes weekend trips all over the place finding trails the kids scope out ahead of time on the 'net. There was no way we would fit all the bikes inside our Sienna minivan though. The Thule 450 Cross Road was necessary for the Sienna because it only has the side rails on the car top, no cross bars to attach bike racks to. I can't believe how easy it is to put these on! We got the package and just couldn't wait for my husband to get home to install them. So I gave it a whirl. Oh my, all you do is attach the bars to the 450 Cross Road Feet and then clamp the Feet onto the siderails using the straps that wrap around the bars. You then use the handy wrench (which stores right inside each Foot, how cool is that?!?!) to tighten down the strap and that's all there is to it. We have 4 Thule 599XTR bike racks mounted to the Cross Road bars. What a great setup for carrying all our bikes!. I highly recommend the Cross Road to anyone with factory rack side rails.
Very Durable & Quick to Install

vehicle year/make/model: 2006 Mazda 6 wagon
item(s) transported: luggage, kayaks, skis
It might take you longer to read this sentence than it does to mount the Thule 450 CrossRoad car rack to your factory rails. Seriously, I was blown away with how quickly I had this rack mounted on the car. It's also very durable and well-constructed. You should definitely do your homework and use the Thule Fit Guide to find out what size load bars you need. This will give the rack a very slick and tight appearance. It would be a shame to have this very modern looking carrack on your roof top and have bars that are too long sticking way out over the sides. All the Thule gear carriers attach very nicely to the 450 Crossroad load bars too. I use a roof box and j-cradle kayak rack during the summer and then use the roof box to carry skis in the winter.

Greg L. asks - I went through the Thule Racks fit guide on your site for my 2007 Toyota RAV4 with factory-installed side rails. What's the difference between these three products? Thule 450R Rapid Crossroad, Thule 450 Crossroad and Thule 45050 Crossroad?
ORS Crew answers - Great question. They are all very similar and attach to the side rails the same way. Here is how they differ: The regular Thule 450 Crossroad roof rack system includes a Thule 450 CrossRoad Foot Pack (the four Feet that attach to the side rails) and a pair of Thule square load bars, while the Thule 450R Rapid CrossRoad roof rack system includes a Thule 450R Rapid CrossRoad Foot Pack and a pair of the low-profile elliptical Rapid Aero load bars. The Thule 45050 CrossRoad roof rack option is a complete system that also includes a Thule 450 CrossRoad Foot Pack, a pair of Thule square load bars AND a 4-pack of locks to lock the system to your car. The other two options require you to buy a 4-pack of locks separately. Thus, if the 50 inch length square load bars are recommended for your specific vehicle then the 45050 CrossRoad roof rack option is the most cost-effective choice because locks are included (the Thule 45058 Crossroad is also available and it includes a pair of longer 58 inch load bars and 4-pack of Thule locks). If you need long load bars such as 65 inch or 78 inch bars then you will need to select the regular Thule 450 CrossRoad roof rack system as this option allows you to select from differing length load bars. Finally, many folks prefer the premium, upscale look of the Rapid Aero load bars instead of the classic square load bars. That is what makes the 450R Rapid CrossRoad roof rack an attractive option.
Steve10 asks - It's not clear how well the 450 Crossroad rack (also the 450R w/ AeroBlade bars and 45050 Crossroad car rack kit w/ locks) will fit on a 2011 Subaru Outback with the factory rack. Do you have a video or other pictures that show the 450 attached to a 2010-2011 Subaru Outback? Any special issues with mounting bicycles using the 450? Thanks!
ORS Crew answers - All the Thule 450 systems (450 w/ square bars, 450R w/ AeroBlade bars and 45050 complete kit w/ locks) mounted to the new model 2010+ Subaru Outback wagons have been extensively tested by Thule Racks and serve as excellent platforms for transporting all kinds of gear and equipment, including bikes, skis, roof boxes, gear baskets and even long kayaks, surfboards, stand-up paddleboards, canoe etc. All the 450 Crossroad systems (450, 450R, 45050 etc.) quickly connect to the Subaru Outback side rails and offer a much more universal configuration - compared to the Subaru factory crossbars - and are fully compatible with the broad range of Thule roof mount gear carriers and carriers from other car rack brands. ORS Racks Direct Demonstration Video & Review featuring the Thule 450 CrossRoad roof rack system. Movie includes Thule Racks 450 review, product demo, high-end features etc. This car rack system easily installs to virtually all vehicle factory rack side rails. So easy to mount it takes just 5 minutes. Each of the four Thule 450 Cross Road Feet quickly clamp onto siderail using the rubber coated steel strap for a very tight and secure connection that won't impact the siderail finish. Can conveniently switch over to any other vehicle with factory roof rack side rails if necesssary. Uses the classic Thule square load bars for a very clean look that provides a very strong foundation to attach any Thule roof mount gear carriers. Optionally locks to the factory rails using a 4 pack of Thule Locks. Thule Racks lifetime warranty.
