The complete Thule 460R Rapid Podium roof rack system is the multi-purpose base rack designed to mount to these fix-points, delivering a perfectly custom fit for each specific car model's fixed-points. The result is maximum safety, ease of installation and use. When installed the 460R Rapid Podium roof rack system has a sleek, modern appearance with a seamless factory-like fit. Thule Racks has cleverly crafted several different Fit Kit brackets to work with specific vehicle makes & models. The Fit Kit brackets simply mount to the integrated fixed point rack attachment locations on the vehicle (also replacing the factory rack in some instances). ATTENTION: The 460R Rapid Podium system is now compatible with any permanently installed Thule Tracks (use the 3101 Podium Fit Kit with TB60, TP54, TP42 Tracks etc.) as well as many vehicle factory rack roof tracks and other unique fits on certain vehicles. A new line of Podium Fit Kits is now available and replaces several of the discontinued Thule TK Tracker Kits that were used with the Thule 430 Tracker II roof rack system (now being fazed out of production). Thule has created a Podium Fit Kit to replace several TK Tracker Kits – the 3101 Podium Fit Kit replaces the TK1 Tracker Kit, 3050 replaces TK8, 3109 replaces TK9, 3112 replaces TK12, 3113 replaces TK13 and 3114 replaces TK14.

Fantastic Base System

My system included the 460R Rapid Podium, RB47 Load Bars and 3068 Fit Kit. Everything went on perfectly with no problems what-so-ever. Aero bars also saw no drop in fuel economy that I noticed. System did take some time to assemble and set up. Would highly recommend this system to a friend.
Seamless Elegance, Solid Functionality

This car rack does take some time to put together, but once that is done it is really an easy on/off system. The mounting points on the vehicle allow for a very solid attachment. The Rapid Arrow bars are fairly quiet by themselves, but adding a fairing is still recommended.

(PLEASE NOTE: this review also includes the Thule 594XT Side Arm roof bike rack). This is a great system. It's looks good and is very functional. The 460R Podiums are great and low profile so they don't stick up too high off the roof. The Rapid Aero bars are the way to go. Not only do they look good, but they are easy to get things on and off of. The 594XT SideArm is big and bulky, but it is the best way to transport a bike without removing the front tire. Only drawback to the system is the wind noise.
PLEASE NOTE: We recommend a roof fairing to eliminate any possible roof rack wind noise.

Robert asks - Double-checking that I can now use this system with the Thule 3101 Fit Kit to attach to the permanently installed Thule Roof Tracks that I have installed on my camper shell. (I also asked this on the regular 460 Podium page, just wanted to make sure to get question answered.)
ORS Crew answers - Yes the 3101 Podium Fit Kit replaces the discontinued TK1 Tracker Kit (the Thule 430R Rapid Tracker II rack system is being fazed out of the product line) and connects to any Thule Tracks so you can now use the 460R Rapid Podium roof rack system.
Dean asks - My 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee has flush side rails on the rooftop, confirming this is the correct system to attach to the flush side rails?
ORS Crew answers - Yes, the 460R Rapid Podium system is perfect for factory installed flush side rails. To obtain a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee roof rack you will want to select the 4019 Podium Fit Kit and pair of ARB 53 Aero Blade bars when adding this item to your cart. You can also use the regular 460 Podium system (uses the classic Thule square bars). You will also use the same Thule 4019 Fit Fit.
Edward D. asks - Will this work as a 2009 Audi Q7 roof rack? I have what look like side rails on the cartop but they are totally flush with the roof.
ORS Crew answers - Yes the 460R is the perfect choice for a 2009 Audi Q7 roof rack. It securely mounts to the flush side rails using the 4002 Podium Fit Kit. The ARB47 Aero Blade bars are the correct length bars.
ORS Crew explains - Trying to clear up some confusion, Thule Racks has launched a complete line of Podium Fit Kits that now allow this system to attach to the factory mount flush rails on many vehicles. Also works on many vehicles with factory roof tracks (and of course all proprietary permanently installing Thule Tracks (use the 3101 Fit Kit for this application).
DML asks - Will this work on a 2009 Toyota Matrix?
ORS Crew answers - No this system will not work as a 2009 Toyota Matrix car rack crossbars system. Instead you will want to use the Thule 480R Rapid Traverse roof rack system. Choose the ARB47 Aero Blade load bars, the correct 1512 Traverse Fit Kit will also be included with your order.

Ivan O. asks - I can't decide between this system and the Thule 440 specialty carrier for my 2005 Subaru Forester flush side rails. On the 440 carrier would I be able to use AeroBlade bars instead of the square bars?
ORS Crew answers - You can only use the square style Thule load bars with the 440 specialty carrier. You would need to go with the 460R Rapid Podium roof rack system on the '05 Subaru Forester if you want the AeroBlade crossbars (select the ARB47 AeroBlade bars and the 4005 Podium Fit Kit for the Subaru Forester flush side rails).
Courtney asks - We have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee and we want to be able to use our 2 Thule Hullavators with the vehicle. Will this work? If so, what do we need for using the Hullavators on the '12 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
ORS Crew answers - Assuming you have the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the flush side rails (the two rails that run from front to back of the rooftop near the roof edges on the driver side and passenger side, and 'flush' meaning that they are flush against the rooftop instead of raised with space between the siderails and the rooftop). You simply need to install either the Thule 460 Podium roof rack system or the Thule 460R Rapid Podium roof rack system to the flush side rails. Both systems use the same Podium Fit Kit (select the 4019 Podium Fit Kit for the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee) for attachment to the side rails. Both systems also include a Podium Foot Pack and pair of load bars. The only difference is the 460 Podium system uses the regular square Thule bars bars (select the 58" length) and the 460R Rapid Podium System uses the premium silent AeroBlade bars (select the ARB53 AeroBlade bars length). You'll be able to then attach your two Thule Hullavator kayak sets to either of these bar styles.
