Convenient, aerodynamic, lots of fun.

Very satisfied. Ingenious segmented hard-bottom bag suspends on and clamps to roof rack, overlapping the car's 30"-long glass sunroof without contacting the glass or the painted car roof. Compact off-car storage avoids the problem of most roof boxes: what to do with the box when it's not needed. Very aerodynamic; fuel economy differed by less than 1 MPG from prior trips without the bag. While traveling south on US 101 along the Oregon coast and through the California sequoias we opened the sunroof, making the car into a hard-sided convertible with a roof rack! It was great, without appreciable airflow noise. A hard roof box would have been noisier; an on-roof bag would have damaged the sunroof and paint.

Of all the cargo bags out there, this one has to be the best. Yes it costs more, but it has features that I feel are worth the extra expense. The biggest plus is that it attaches to crossbars like a box would, so that it doesn't touch the roof. This is better because it won't scratch the roof but it also looks better. When you aren't using it, it rolls up like a camp chair and stashes away easily. It is heavy duty and highly water resistant. I've only noticed a bit of wetness inside once, and that was after a significant downpour. I was expecting the contents to be soaked. Upgrade to this bag over the others, you won't be dissapoionted!

I just gotta say, I am loving this bag! I use it all the time for carrying everything from my camping gear to my bike gear to bags full of recycling. I originally wanted a cargo box until I realized how expensive they were. And I was never fond of rooftop bags cause they look kind of crappy up there, but since this one attaches directly to my crossbars, I went for it, and it looks fine. I've stuffed this thing full and you wouldn't believe how much stuff will fit. Thule made a great product that is a cross between a box and a bag.
