The box looks awesome on my Outlander. It is extremely stealth looking, low profile and looks so much better than those other clunky boxes out there and also allows me to park in my garage. It is rugged and quiet on the road. Although not giant looking, it carries what I need with room to spare. This has been a great purchase as we are always going somewhere that requires a lot of gear and we like the extra room in the vehicle. And it is very easy to take on and off with their mounting system. I give it two thumbs up!

ORS Racks Direct Crew says - The Thule Spirit cargo boxes have a long range of adjustment to fit nearly any distance between the front roof rack crossbar and the rear roof rack cross bar (referred to as crossbar spread). In fact they'll fit any crossbars with a spread as short as 23 inches and as long as 39 inches.
ORS Racks Direct Crew says - Thule Racks has designed the Spirit boxes with an angled undercut in the rear tail of the box. This allows better clearance when opening the rear back door or hatch on cars. A very nice touch.
HOMErr asks - I can't figure out how to change a lock cylinder on a Thule roof box. I want to change my lock but can't take the key out to put the removal key in. As you know, Thule boxes won't let you take the key out unless it is locked.
ORS Racks Direct crew answers - Yeah this probably has caused many folks to pull their hair out. But here's the answer for you and so glad you asked, this will hopefully save a lot of hair... To get a Thule lock cylinder out of a Thule box requires that you have the dedicated locking key and a master or control key. You would insert the dedicated key into the Thule lock cylinder on the cargo box and turn only 10 degrees, now pull the dedicated key out and insert the control key. You can now use the control key to wiggle a bit and the cylinder will pop out. Sounds kooky but this is really how to do it!
