Hanging-Style Hitch Bike Racks Comparison Video
The tilt-down Thule 912 Roadway hitch bike rack carries up to 2 bicycles and fits both 1.25" and 2" hitches! This is an excellent mid-level performance hitch mounting bike carrier. The 912 Thule Roadway combines performance with ease of use. Includes Thule T3 Cradles for a superb snug attachment of bikes while still allowing complete adjustment along the bike arms. Hitch bike rack arms also fold down when not in use via the Thule Hitch Switch quick-release lever. Many bike stability and locking security accessories available separately, such as the 955 No Sway Cages (not included; see accessory add-ons below) to prevent bikes from swinging around, Thule STL2 hitch lock (not included; see accessory add-ons below) to secure the rack to the hitch receiver & the Thule 538 Cable Lock (not included; see accessory add-ons below) that locks the bikes to the rack. The Thule Stinger Swinger universal hitch connection now lets you attach to either a 2" or 1.25" hitch receiver, the choice is yours (great for transferring between vehicles too). Easily holds up to two bicycles.

- Thule 912 Roadway holds up to 2 bikes and the included Stinger Swinger hitch connector allows it to fit both 2 inch and 1 1/4 inch hitch receivers!
- Included Thule T3 cradles lock down bikes and cradles while still allowing complete adjustment along the bike arms.
- Several stabilizing and security accessories also available: Thule 955 No Sway Cages (not included; see accessory add-ons below) to prevent bikes from swinging around and hitting each other or coming into contact with rear of vehicle, Thule STL2 hitch lock (not included; see accessory add-ons below) to secure the Thule 912 Roadway bike carrier to the hitch receiver & the Thule 538 Cable Lock (not included; see accessory add-ons below) for locking the bikes to the rack itself.
- The 912 Roadway is compatible with virtually all bike frame sizes and shapes. We do recommend purchasing the Thule 982 Top Tube Frame Adapter (not included; see accessory add-ons below) for easy attachment of certain bikes without top tube frames including some women's, kids, bmx and downhill / freeride bike frames.
- Now features the all-new Thule Hitch Switch, a quick release lever on the bike rack arms for lightning quick folding down of the bike rack arms when not in use. Ideal for parallel parking and pulling into garages.
