PLEASE NOTE: The difference between the 963XTR and the older model 963XT is the 963XTR includes bicycle cable lock for locking the bikes to the rack. It also includes an updated adapter plate for an even broader range of spare wheel fits including the Toyota RAV-4 spare tire and Toyota FJ Cruiser spare tire etc.
The Thule 963XT Spare Me spare tire mount bike rack transports 2 bicycles and is the perfect solution for any vehicle with a spare wheel mounted to the rear of the vehicle. Includes the premium Thule 955 No-Sway Cages, eliminating any bicycle swinging, bike-to-bike contact and bike-to-vehicle contact.The Thule 963XT Spare Me adapter plate is compatible with a broad range of rear mounted spare wheels. Even adapts to off-center mounted spare tires. Attaches to vehicle's spare tire bolt pattern using the included locking adapter plate (includes lock & keys).
Includes premium T3 Cradles to snugly secure and hold virtually all styles, shapes and sizes of bicycles - kids and adult bikes, road and mountain bikes alike. Bike rack arms fold down when not in use. Bike rack locks to vehicle using the included lock and keys. We recommend purchasing a Thule bike cable lock (not included; see accessory add-ons below) to secure bikes to the carrier. Modern, metallic silver finish looks great on all vehicles. My husband and I decided to purchase the Thule 963 XT Spare Me bike rack so that we don't have to stuff the bicycles in our Suzuki Grand Vitara nor having to drive 2 vehicles to go on a ride. It is perfect for us and what we love most is that arms folds down neatly when not in use. It was easy to install and we are now the envy of our bicycle fraternity. Purchasing from ORS Racks Direct was simple and the bike rack was delivered in a couple of days.

We recommend the 982 Thule Bike Frame Adaptor (not included; see accessory add-ons above) for very safe and easy loading of bikes that don't have a level top tube frame such as kids, womens, bmx and downhill mountain bike frames.
If you ski or snowboard we recommend the Thule 987XT ski rack attachment for the 963XT SpareMe (sold separately; see accessory add-ons above.)
