Thule 987XT converts Thule hitch mount bike racks (964 Revolver, 954 Ridgeline, 970 / 971 Helium, 912 / 914 / 915 Roadway series, Parkway series & 963 Spare-Me spare tire bike carrier etc; also compatible with all discontinued Thule Hitching Post Pro series & Expressway series of hitch bike racks) to ski and snowboard racks so you can carry your boards on the hitch bike rack during the winter months!. Works great on virtually all other hitch bike racks from other brands including Yakima, Inno, SportRack etc. Carries up to 4 snowboards or 6 pairs of skis - you can mix and match also. Thule lock cores & keys included to safely secure ski & snowboard equipment inside the Thule 987XT carrier.

Great rack and very secure!

We bought this because we felt it would be easier that a rooftop carrier to load and remove skis because our vehicle is so tall. Plus we already had a Thule hitch bike carrier. It installed very easily to the hitch carrier, according to my husband. I can say that loading the skis is very easy as well and they are held in very securely. Even fits our fat skis along with the kids snowboards at the same time! Highly recommend
