The Thule 690XT MOAB Cargo Basket Rack stands for 'Mother Of All Baskets'. Includes a completely redesigned hub system for quick, hassle-free assembly. The M.O.A.B. roof basket is a uniquely designed cargo-luggage basket and roof rack combined into one. Mounts directly to elliptical Thule Rapid Aero bars, Thule square load bars, Thule Xsporter truck rack, Inno Racks crossbars, Yakima base rack round bars and virtually all factory roof rack cross bars (if you have a factory rack we recommend using our Thule Racks fit guide below to check compatibility with your vehicle). Includes two integrated and adjustable Thule load bars that allow you to attach Thule bike, ski, canoe & kayak carriers etc. directly to the 690XT MOAB. Basket can lock to vehicle using four Thule locks (not included; see accessory add-ons below).

Versatile and Durable

The Thule MOAB basket does a great job carrying my gear. Certain things are better left outside of the vehicle, and because of that, having a cargo basket is real nice. I installed it myself, and it wasn’t a difficult task at all. The Thule basket is very well made and very attractive, and I use it to carry everything from hand trucks to lumber and various supplies. What is a really great feature is the fact that if you have existing carriers, like bike or ski racks, they can attach directly to a pair of crossbars that help form the frame.

Bought this basket rack and I love it. I also bought the cargo net, which makes containing the stuff in the basket a heck of a lot easier. I originally was thinking about a cargo box, but went with the basket instead because of the fact that I can mount my bike racks to it. The basket is bomber and looks cool, and it went on super easy. It locks down to your crossbars with the Thule lock cores. I think this is the best way to utilize your roof space, considering how much you can carry and at the same time, also your bikes.

Mike asks - Can I add the 690XT M.O.A.B basket to the Thule 422XT truck bed rack?
ORS Crew answers - Absolutely, we do however recommend that you also use the Thule 691XT MOAB basket extension with the 690XT MOAB basket. The extension will provide the additional length to allow the 422XT Xsporter crossbar and towers on the front area of the truckbed and the crossbar and towers on the rear aera of the truckbed to still be normally spaced apart from each other. You can go without the 691XT MOAB extension, the 422XT towers and crossbars will just have to be mounted nearer to each other on the bed rails (the 422XT Xsporter can be mounted anywhere along the bed rails).
TegFeldt asks - I have the Yakima Whispbars on my car. Will the M.O.A.B. fit these racks?
ORS Crew answers - Yes this roof basket is fully compatible and attaches directly to the Whispbar roof rack cross bars.

Includes 2 Thule load bars that integrate onto the 690XT basket allowing for the attachment of any gear carriers directly to the basket. Cargo net accessory is a good option for securing all basket contents. Better yet, attach a luggage roof bag to the basket to keep all content dry and protected. MOAB basket is lockable using a 4 pack of Thule locks.
