The (TB60) 60 inch Thule Roof Tracks (sold as a pair) are for permanent rack installation applications and make it possible to build a multi-purpose base rack system on any fiberglass surfaces. Common, popular solutions include any pickup truck fiberglass camper shells, caps & toppers, tonneau covers, pop up camper roof tops, Jeep Wrangler Hard Top and more. Once the pair of TB60 Thule Tracks are installed, simply attach any compatible Thule roof rack system to the Thule roof tracks. We highly recommend both the Thule 460 Podium roof rack system and Thule 460R Rapid Podium roof rack system (be sure to select the Thule 3101 Podium Fit Kit as the correct Fit Kit with either of the 460 / 460R Podium rack systems to properly attach to the 60" Thule TB60 Roof Tracks.) Thule Tracks offer the superior option of adjusting and positioning the roof rack anywhere along the roof tracks for perfectly setting the distance between the front and rear crossbars and matching whatever load is being carried, such as distancing the cross bars further apart to provide a safe foundation to carry long gear and equipment such as ladders, lumber, canoe, kayaks etc.

ATTENTION:
Thule TB60 Tracks are installed by drilling into any fiberglass surface such as Jeep Wrangler Hard Top, pop up camper rooftop, any pickup truckbed cap, topper & camper shell, fiberglass tonneau covers etc. The TB60 60 inch Thule Tracks include specific bolts and nuts (no Flare Nuts) for installing on fiberglass surfaces only.
For installing to sheet metal surfaces, such as pickup truck, van and car metal rooftops, you will need to use the Thule TP42 42" Tracks or Thule TP54 54" Tracks as both of these roof track systems include Flare Nuts for specifically installing to metal surfaces.

WHY WOULD I INSTALL TRACKS?
Thule Roof Rack Tracks provide a way to install a rack where no other option exists, or offer an alternative in where a rack is positioned and placed on a vehicle's roof. Some simply prefer the appearance over other options.

HOW DO I PUT THE THULE TRACKS ON?
The included installation instructions clearly illustrate where to position the roof tracks and where to drill the mounting holes. Mark those points, drill the holes, install the bolts and nuts and tighten down the tracks. Again, the included Thule Tracks installation instructions clearly outline each step of the process so you know you'll get the job done right.
WHAT KIND OF WATERPROOFING IS USED?
The tracks come with a waterproofing kit including nylon and rubber washers, a pad running the length of the track, and silicone for the screw threads. Installed as directed by the instructions, it'll always keep the water out and resist corrosion much better than a factory installed rack.

Easy Install

Very easy to install on my fiberglass cap. I already had the load bars and Thule Feet from another vehicle, so all I needed were these roof tracks to put them on the truck. Hardest part was getting it laid out and lined up before I drilled the holes. You will need a buddy to help tighten the bolts if you are putting these on a cap like I did. One guy above with the allen wrench, and one guy in the truck to hold the nut. I actually used longer stainless steel bolts on half of the holes so that I could mount wood strips on the underside of the cap. Now I can hang things from the ceiling in the back of the truck if they are wet. I might put a net up there too for little lightweight items that would otherwise get in the way or roll around back there. I would definitely recommend these tracks to friends.

Great Set Up

I am overall very pleased with the performance of my set-up. I went with Thule Tracks 60" on my pickup truckbed in order to allow me to span the truck bed and elevate the bikes above it. The only issue I had with the install was that since I have a rolling retractable bed cover I was forced to set the tracks further towards the edge of the bed rail. Once I drilled the pilot holes, I found out accessing the bolts would be difficult. But, I made it work. My only complaint is with the quality of mounting hardware. It would be nice to have a few extra nuts. I actually replaced the hardware with some I purchased. The Thule 430 Tracker II roof rack is then connected to the Tracks (using the TK1 Tracker included with the 430 Tracker II system). A couple bike racks are then mounted to the roof rack cross bars (78 inch length for spanning all the way across the Ford F250 truck bed from one bed rail to the other).

Easy to install and very solid. The Sportrack Nomad is used on my wife's and my bike, is very secure and does the job. Bought the Bigmouth for my daughter's smaller bike and it is very slick. Wish I would of bought it for the other 2 bikes. Will definitely purchase for my youngest daughters' new bike next year.

This is a permanent rack that is installed by drilling into a fiberglass pop up camper roof top, pickup truck cap, camper shell, Jeep Wrangler Hard Top, fiberglass tonneau cover and similar applications. The 60 inch Thule Tracks include bolts and nuts for installing on fiberglass surfaces only. Will not work on metal tops. You will need the TP42 42" or TP54 54" Thule Tracks, which include Flare Nuts for installing on metal surfaces (see accessory add-ons above for these options).
Thule TB60 60" tracks can easily be cut to any shorter length for custom fit applications.
