The TracRac Plastic TieDown Kit includes four tie down points that slide along any TracRac base rail system, providing four sturdy cleats to which load straps can be fastened. Simply slide the TracRac Plastic TieDown Kit along the base rail system, and lock into specific notch points. Please note that most TracRac systems include a TracRac Plastic TieDown Kit. Suitable for light loads and be careful with ratchet straps
October 29, 2016
If you use the standard Tracrac aluminum sliding tie downs, and decide to use these, you may be disappointed. These tie downs are meant for light duty. The plastic loop is hollow and if you use a ratchet strap, you can break the loop off the base. So if you are transporting a surf board, or canoe and either don't use ratchet straps, or if you do, carefully tighten them, these will work. If you are transporting a bunch of 40' ladders, or a load of decking, don't use these - use the loop in the standard aluminum Tracrac sliding tie downs.
Lower cost that two sets of Tracrac aluminum sliding tie downs
The loops are hollow and can be broken when using ratchet straps

Bought a few more of these to really beef up our van's carrying rack. Super quick to use, and cheap for the convenience they add to our company's systems.
