This rack arrived from ORS quickly with FREE shipping. It's HEAVY but comes in 2 cartons so it is still possible to send via UPS.
I installed it on my 2011 Silverado in about 2 hours one evening. The "tricky" part is getting the base rails level and parallel to each other. There is "wiggle" room in the mounting bolt patterns so I didn't have any trouble. The rack I purchased allows the rear portion to slide forward when not needed such that they sort of 'nest' together right behind the cab. VERY handy feature which I didn't find when looking at Thule and Yakima. Actually, isn't TRACRAC a Thule company?
This rack is rock solid and seems VERY robust. I will be carrying kayaks and SUPs for now but I could see it useful for transporting ladders and lumber too.
Pros:Strong, slides out the the way when not needed, appears well-made and not likely to rust or come loose. Easy to install - NO DRILLING necessary
Cons:Rather pricey but not out of line among high quality racks like Thule and Yakima. ORS had a 20% off sale when I bought mine which really helped.
