Get those cross bars above that tall roof with rain gutters! The complete Yakima 1A HiRise multi-purpose roof rack system mounts to raingutters on cars, vans and pickup trucks and also provides added clearance to reach high enough over high-domed roofs, over top of factory installed roof racks etc. Simple to install, the built-in clamps grab onto raingutters with a rock solid grip. The Yakima 1A Hi-Rise Raingutter Towers fully adjust to non-parallel raingutters as well. We highly recommend a four pack of Yakima Locks (not included; see accessory add-ons below) to lock the rack to vehicle.
The Yakima 1A HiRise complete roof rack system includes all 2 components that are necessary for installing a general-purpose base rack, providing the platform that will allow you to then connect roof mount gear carriers that carry your gear and equipment:
- Four (4) Yakima 0104 1A HiRise Towers for raingutters.
- Two (2) Yakima ross bars (bar end caps included).
The 1A Hi-Rise Towers are ideal when you are seeking extra roof clearance, they have 3.5" aluminum spacers integrated into the Towers for a total height of 10-3/4" from base of the Tower to top of the cross bar, clears domed roofs etc. (Alternatively, when extra clearance is not an issue the complete Yakima 1A RainGutter roof rack system is an other option, 7-1/4" tall from base of Tower to top of bar.)
This system is also an ideal companion to combine with the Yakima Racks Side Loader Artificial Raingutter Brackets (not included; see accessory add-ons below) on pickup truckbed caps and camper shells etc. Zytel nylon absorbs road shock and won't damage your rain gutters. Will pivot to line up with rain gutters that are out of parallel. Can be locked to the vehicle using a 4-pack of Yakima Racks SKS Lock Cores (not included; see accessory add-ons below).
