The Yakima Boa fork mount bike rack (8002065) may have a short tray but that's because it makes it extremely versatile. The pivoting wheeltray enables the Yakima Boa bike rack to fit any base rack crossbar spread between 32" and 50". An especially good option for when the front and rear cross bars are far apart from each other. This bicycle carrier attaches directly to Yakima round bars, Inno Car Rack crossbars and Thule square load bars. Not compatible with factory car rack crossbars. We highly recommend using a Yakima lock core (not included; see accessory add-ons below) to secure the bike to the carrier.

The Yakima Boa is a great roof mount bike rack. I have carried my bikes well over 2,000 miles using these carriers. Easy to load and unload.

Very Glad I Chose the Boa

I bought two Yakima Boa bike racks to mount to my Megawarrior cargo basket. I chose the Boa so that I wouldn’t block any of the cargo space with bike trays. It is a great solution, I can carry two bikes on top of my basket, and when I take the bikes off, there are no trays in the way and I have the entire usage of my basket. Aside from that, the rack works great. Bikes are held securely in place. Glad I chose these.
Cool Rack

The Boa is a cool rack. I mean it is about as minimal as you can get, but still does a killer job of carrying your bicycle, and it is way cheaper than your typical tray style rack.

I've used the Yakima Boa bike carriers once and the results were very disappointing. I'm going to try them again and hope for better results. The rear tires of both bikes rested on the roof of the car rather than being supported by the rear mounts of the carriers. Hoping for better results this time!
