The Yakima Raptor Bike Rack transports a bicycle upright without having to take the front wheel off first. This budget-minded carrier grasps any bicycle type - road, mountain, women's, kids & bmx styles included - as long as the bike frame downtube is from 1" to 3" in diameter (virtually all bikes meet this measurement). Carrier attaches directly to either Yakima base rack round crossbars or Thule Racks square load bars. Yakima Raptor also connects to factory installed car rack cross bars when used in combination with either Yakima Universal Mighty Mounts or Horizontal Mighty Mounts (both sold separately; see accessories below). Yakima lock core recommended (not included; see accessories below) to secure bicycle inside the carrier.
