An economical, purist hitch mount bike rack, with stability and fit for a wide range of bicycles - even the smallest kids bikes. The Yakima BigHorn 4 (8002405) rear hitch bike rack tilts down by simply removing a pin, conveniently allowing access to the rear of your car. Fits 1-1/4 inch hitches (also available in 2" hitch version - Yakima 2404 BigHorn 4). Carries up to four bicycles. Even includes a built in bottle opener!
- Yakima Big Horn 4 can tilt down to easily access the rear of your automobile.
- Fits virtually all types of bikes - dual arm design eliminates the need for toptube adapters on most bikes including kids and womens bikes. Please note, for easist loading of each bike with an unconventional frame we do recommend the Yakima Top Tube Adaptor (sold separately; see accessory add-ons below).
- Bike arms do not fold down. If you are interested in this feature see the Yakima DoubleDown Series hitch bike racks.
- Includes SwitchBlade anti-sway bike cradles. Eliminates bike to bike contact and bike to vehicle contact. Comes with chain straps to anchor each bike in place. Quickly adjust for perfect bike spacing and lock down when in use.
- We highly recommend the optional Yakima DeadLock security system (sold separately; see accessory add-ons below). Simultaneously locks the bicycles to the Yakima BigHorn 4 and the bike rack itself to the receiver hitch.

This Rack Does A Really Great Job

I had to decide between a trunk mounted rack and a hitch mounted rack. I ended up choosing a hitch mounted rack, and I got the Yakama Big Horn 4. It is a great rack and I’m so glad I went for the hitch mount. If you have a receiver hitch, you should chose the same. They are stable and strong and you can trust that they are going to hold your bikes. They also don’t contact the vehicle so no worries about damage to your paint job. The Big Horn is more affordable than a lot of the hitch racks out there but it nonetheless does a great job.
Strong, Stable and Secure

Strong, stable, secure. The three S’s are all present in this fine quality bike rack. The fourth S, swing away, isn’t present however, but the rack will pivot down and out of the way when the bikes are off. Everything about it is well made. The ORS Racks Direct salesperson recommended it to me and I am recommending it to you. You can certainly spend a lot more on a bike rack, but you really don’t need to and this rack is proof of that.
