I can now load heavy cartops by myself safely
August 8, 2017
I waited a year before this review to see how much I would use it. Answer: all the time.
Even if someone wants to help I will turn them down because this is so much safer than relying on a stranger.
I put it on the back rack to avoid the possibility of hitting the side mirror on front.
I have a canak that weighs 85 ponds and has no thwarts for lifting and it goes up easily.
I did notice that if you load. on gravel surface the boat's bow can slide on the ground and scratch it so I first place an inverted old car mat on the ground to protect it and keep it from scratching.
It's even useful for loading lumber.
Disappears nicely when not needed.
