The Yakima LoadWarrior Gear Basket Rack (8007070) is the MegaWarrior's lil' brother and is a rugged and versatile roof carrier at an affordable price. Accommodates all kinds of gear including skis & snowboards, bikes, kayaks, canoes, luggage, camping equipment and much more! Attaches directly to Yakima round crossbars, all styles of Thule load bars, Inno Racks crossbars and virtually all factory roof rack cross bars. Includes a pair of integrated cross bars that allow you to mount any Yakima gear carriers directly to the Yakima Load Warrior basket, and the integrated front cross bar can be moved to any position for perfect spacing requirements of any Yakima Racks gear carrier attachments.
Several optional accessories available (see accessory add-ons below) for this gear basket. Accessories include cargo stretch net, locking brackets, cargo roof bag, spare tire carrier, hi-lift jack carrier, axe / shovel bracket and light mounting brackets.

item(s) transported: Outdoor gear for camping/hiking/fishing. Planning on placing spare wheel and tire on after applying the lift kit very soon.
I was planning on waiting to purchase this product strictly to hold my spare tire and wheel after installing a lift kit, however I ended up ordering early as I ended up going on an almost 2,000 mile road trip up through Canada for some fishing. It was extremely handy for storing extra gear and attaching the rod storage cases on top of the vehicle. Now that I have returned it will store the spare tire and rim along with a large jack as soon as I install the lift. (I will send pictures) The Load Warrior basket rack is extremely handy and very sturdy. It was also a breeze to install.
Dig the Loadwarrior.

I’m a proud owner of the Yakima LoadWarrior. It is rugged, useful, and makes my Isuzu Trooper look like a safari vehicle. All I need now is a safari hat and I can do tours around the neighborhood, pointing out cats, dogs, birds, and the occasional rodent. I dig this basket of mine and I highly recommend throwing one on your own roof and loading that thing up. It really spruces up the overall look of you ride. Especially if it's an old clunker like mine.

I have a Honda Element with factory rails. I wanted a cargo basket, but first had to purchase the Yakima RailGrab system. So I did that and I then purchased the Yakima LoadWarrior and I can say that it is one of the best investments I have made in a long time. All said and done, it was a bigger expense that I had anticipated—I hadn’t considered the RailGrab system—but it was worth it. I use it all the time, and I can tell from the rugged construction that it will last forever. I’m considering also getting the extension so I can increase my overall capacity for when I need it. The other thing that I purchased, which I must say was also a wise choice, was Thule’s step up. It makes accessing the basket a lot easier.

Art asks - Will this fit on a 2010 Subaru Outback factory roof rack? I want to carry a canoe on top of the basket.
RACKDAWG answers - Yep, this basket attaches directly to your 2010 Subaru Outback roof rack factory bars. The basket includes 2 integrated and adjustable cross bars on the top of the basket, allowing you to attach the Yakima canoe rack brackets (sold separately) to these basket cross bars. You then load the canoe onto the canoe brackets. Canoe rides on top of the basket and you can still stow all your gear underneath the canoe in the basket.

The ideal size for vehicles such as smaller wagons, sedans and 2 door cars & pickup trucks (for larger automobiles including SUV, Jeep, van / minivan, 4 door pickup truck & large wagon models we recommend the Yakima MegaWarrior basket rack).
Optional Universal Yakima Basket Locking Brackets (not included; see accessory add-ons above) are highly recommended for locking the Load Warrior to the vehicle. A variety of handy and practical roof basket accessories available (sold separately; see accessory add-ons above) for use with the Yakima LoadWarrior basket.
Roof bags (not included; see accessory add-ons above) will also attach to roof basket for an excellent cargo transport set-up to organize basket contents and protect from foul weather.
We highly recommend either the LashLock or SteelCore locking straps (not included; see accessory add-ons above) for maximum security of cargo roof basket and basket contents when left unattended.
