The Yakima HullyRollers kayak rack (8004035) makes loading your kayak smooth, simple and effortless. Especially nice when only one person is loading a kayak. Rollers lock in place and firmly grip hull when boat is situated. HullyRoller mounts directly to Yakima base rack cross bars, Thule square load bars and Inno Roof Rack crossbars. Also when used in combination with Yakima Horizontal MightyMounts or Universal Mighty Mounts (not included; see accessory add-ons below) the Hully Rollers will connect to virtually all factory rack cross bars & also Thule Racks elliptical Rapid Aero bars, Thule Xsporter truck racks etc. One Yakima heavy-duty strap and one Yakima Bow/Stern tie-down strap included with each pair of HullyRollers.

We initially purchased two sets of Yakima Evenkeel mounts to transport our new kayaks that we just bought this spring. However, I cannot lift anything heavy anymore and lifting two 12-foot kayaks onto the Honda CR-V after a few hours of kayaking is a bit too much for my husband, which basically put a major damper on kayaking this summer. So we bought two sets of Yakima HullyRollers and now we can kayak again. I highly recommend this product. My husband now loads and unloads our kayaks with the help of Yakima HullyRollers effortlessly. I have not tried it myself (can't lift!), but I am sure even I, a relatively short female, could do it. We should have just bought the HullyRollers right away.

MRitz asks - Can the rollers be used with 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV factory cross bars?
ORS Crew answers - Yes just use them with a set of the Yakima Universal Mighty Mounts to attach them to the 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe factory crossbars.
Tim asks - Can I use the Yakima Universal Mighty Mounts with the Yakima HullyRoller and Mako Saddles on 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser factory rack crossbars so I can carry my Native Watercraft 14.5 Ultimate kayak?
ORS Crew answers - Unfortunately the Yakima HullyRoller & Mako Saddles with Universal Mighty Mount clamps will not work on the 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser cross bars. No kayak racks are directly compatible with those cross bars. You will need to first install a multi-purpose base rack system on the factory side rails. This will provide the cross bars to enable you to then connect any kayak carriers. The Yakima RailGrab roof rack kit system (includes a set of four Yakima RailGrab Towers and a pair of 58 inch cross bars with end caps) is highly recommended. You can then attach any kayak carriers, including the Yakima Mako Saddles – HullyRoller kayak rack combo to the RailGrab crossbars.
JMorris asks - I want to carry a Necky Spike kayak and maybe another Old Town Otter tandem kayak on a 2006 Honda Civic 4-door sedan. Would the Hully Roller-Mako Saddles system be a good choice? Do I also need the Q Towers base rack?
ORS Crew answers - This is an excellent choice for a 2006 Honda Civic hybrid kayak rack system to carry the Necky Spike and Old Town Otter tandem kayaks. You will need to first install the Yakima Q Towers base rack (includes Q Towers, pair of Q99 and pair of Q131 clips and pair of 58 inch cross bars). Then attach two complete sets of Mako Saddles and Hully Rollers to the cross bars to carry the 2 kayaks.
Becky asks - Can this be used on a 2 door Chevy Cobalt? When I did the builder the only option it showed was the foam blocks, but I would prefer the HullyRollers and Mako saddles option if I could. I plan on buying the Yakima base rack it suggested if they will work as a system on my car.
ORS Crew answers - Great question. Neither Yakima nor Thule have a compatible base rack system with your Chevy Cobalt 2-door. However we do highly recommend the Inno IN-SU base rack system. You will also need to use the Inno IN-JK short roof adapter kit in combination with the IN-SU base rack system. The IN-JK kit effectively allows the rear base rack Towers (or Stays as Inno calls them) to be positioned further back on the roof top, allowing for more distance between the front and rear cross bars and providing a safe foundation to attach a kayak rack. The HullyRoller - Mako Saddles kayak rack system will mount directly to the Inno base rack cross bars.
CHill asks - Confused as to whether I need one or two sets of Yakima Universal Mighty Mounts for the pair of Hully Rollers and also a pair of Mako Saddles (I currently have the regular Mako Saddles that work on Yakima round bars but not factory racks). I want to transfer the Hully Rollers and Makos over to my new 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee factory rack.
ORS Crew answers - You will need two sets of Yakima Universal Mighty Mounts, 4 for the HullyRollers and 4 for the Mako Saddles.

We highly recommend the Yakima BoatLocker, Kayak Lasso, SteelCore locking straps or the Lashlock kayak lock system (all sold separately; see accessory add-ons above) to protect your boat from theft.
We recommend purchasing Yakima Accessory Lock Housing (not included; see accessory add-ons above) to lock HullyRollers to your base rack crossbars. Each Yakima Lock Housing unit requires one Yakima SKS lock core.
