The Yakima Kayak Stacker (8004036) is an efficient kayak rack system that can hold several kayaks by transporting them vertically, on their sides, against two non-scratch coated steel upright posts. Because the kayaks stack vertically on their sides when mounted to the Yakima Kayak Stacker, you have more room for several boats or the option to carry kayaks alongside other gear carriers without running out of car rack cross bar space.
The versatile 'arrow' top hooks make it super quick and easy to securely tie off the kayak(s). Mounts directly to round Yakima base rack crossbars and Inno Racks & Thule square load bars. Also compatible with factory roof rack cross bars when used in combination with a set of Yakima Universal MightyMounts or Yakima Horizontal Mighty Mounts (not included; see accessory add-ons below). Includes pair of Kayak Stacker upright posts, two 16' heavy-duty padded straps and two bow & stern tie-down straps. For complete kayak protection, we recommend using the KayakStacker in combination with Yakima bar pads (not included; see accessory add-ons below).

We highly recommend the Inno Racks INA451 Cradle Set (not included; see accessory add-ons above) for easy loading of kayaks onto kayak stacker style kayak racks. The Inno INA451 prevents each kayak from sliding down and holds it upright & in place when loading.
We also recommend the Yakima BoatLocker, Kayak Lasso, SteelCore straps or the Lashlock kayak lock system (all sold separately; see accessory add-ons above) to lock and protect your kayak(s) from theft.
