Designed for specific vehicles with unconventional factory rack side rails, the complete Yakima Lowrider MAX roof rack system is compatible with the hard to fit rooftop siderails (side rails are the two bars located on both sides of the roof that run parallel to each other from the front to back of the roof) found on the 2005+ Ford Explorer & Freestyle, 2005+ Nissan Frontier, Pathfinder, X-Terra & 2002-2004 Pathfinder SE, 2004+ Mitsubishi Endeavor and newer/other vehicles. The Yakima Lowrider MAX base roof rack system attaches to vehicles using one of three compatible Yakima Claw Kit adapters, the C1, C2 or C3 (at order check out, we ask for your vehicle, make and model to ensure you receive the correct Claws; or see below for Yakima Racks fit guide to determine compatibility). Simple to install and remove. Features custom-molded rubber pads on Lowrider MAX Towers and Claws, which mount in seconds with a simple lever turn - no tools required. Grabs hold of the side rail with an iron grip.
