The Yakima Powderhound Ski Rack / Snowboard Rack (8003081) features an improved appearance while still maintaining its classic proven design. A superb quality, value-priced ski & snowboard carrier that easily handles up to 4 pairs of skis or 2 snowboards (mix and match skis & snowboards too). The Yakima Powder Hound ski / snowboard rack includes universal mounting attachment clamps making it compatible with virtually all factory roof rack cross bars. Indeed, the Yakima Powderhound connects directly to factory installed roof racks and any after-market base rack cross bars including Yakima Racks round bars, Inno roofrack crossbars and Thule Racks square, elliptical Rapid Aero & Xsporter truck rack bars etc. Includes a pair of Yakima SKS Locks for simultaneously locking equipment inside carrier and the carrier itself to the car rack crossbars. During the warmer months this rack doubles as an excellent fishing rod rack, waterski carrier or wakeboard rack. Packaged as a pair for mounting to the front and rear crossbars. I just bought the Powderhound by Yakima. It went on my factory bars without any hassles whatsover. The clamp that attaches to the bars is intuitive and works great. When I go riding, I'm always in a great mood, so I'm probably not the most impartial critic, but I can say that so far, so good! I haven't had any problems and the rack does what it is supposed to do. Having the locks is awesome because then both the carrier is secured to the car rack crossbars and the boards are locked inside the Powder Hound.
