The Yakima Q Towers Stretch Kit (8000134) is one component of a base rack system and works in combination with the Yakima Q Tower complete base rack in order to increase the distance between the two crossbars (greater crossbar spread) on 2-door vehicles and other types of cars, vans and pickup trucks with short roofs. Yakima Q Stretch Kit dramatically improves stability and safety. Enables short roof vehicles to use the Yakima Q Tower roof rack system to carry all types of gear, even long loads such as ladders, lumber, canoe, kayaks etc. We recommend using our handy Yakima Racks automated fit guide below to determine if your car, minivan or pickup truck requires the 0134 Yakima Q Stretch Kit short roof line adaptor.
