Good Solid Trunk Rack

Just as advertised the rack was fast and easy to install. The bikes are very stable even at high speeds on less than smooth roads. The security strap is a nice touch, I don't have to worry about someone taking the rack while I'm out riding.

I am very pleased with the purchase of the Yamika Quickback 3 bike trunk rack. We have a Honda Accord sedan and an Acura SUV. I needed a carrier that would fit both vehicles, was sturdy and easy to install. I looked at many different types of bike carriers and found the Quickback 3 to be the best fit for our needs. Also, I am very pleased with purchasing it from ORS Racks Direct, not only did it arrive in a couple days, they had the best price too!

A simply sensational car rear strap-on bike rack. I heard about the locking feature on the Quick Back and was very interested. I've actually had a strap rack stolen off my car in the past. A very clever idea with locking the end of the cable inside the car. Surprised no one has thought of this before. I still use a cable lock to lock the bikes to the carrier though. I use the Quick Back on 2 different cars, a Toyota Prius and a Toyota Sequoia. I think the price of this carrier is worth it just based on how fast I can install it onto either car! Yakima Racks claims it's the fastest installing strap-on bike rack for the back of a car, I have used a lot of different kinds of strap-on bike racks and the Quick Back is by far the fastest and easist to install and use. I really love the way it looks too. It's very cool to look at, similar to the Saris Bones rack. But I went with this model because of the security feature. I'm very glad I chose the Quick Back indeed!

The Yakima Quickback is a suitable rack for short duration use, but not without additions and modifications. The rubber straps and strap connectors are excellent in design and security. However the support that comes against the seat tube is unpadded and could if not covered damage your frames paint and or possibly the tubing. I used foam insulation padding at that contact point and also under the top tubes as the padding there is very sparse. Plan on using a good deal of padding with velcro straps between the bikes where they can potentially make contact unless you do not care about your bikes components or the finish when carrying more than 1 bike. Also you have to use bungy cords to secure the front and rear wheels from moving around. After all of this I still ended up with 1 minor scratch on the seat tube of one of the bikes. It did fit very well on the car and was quick to assemble. I would not be able to transport my full suspension mountain bikes without the Yakima Tube Top. All in all its an OK product, especially for 1 bike but if you are going to carry more than one bike prepare by buying padding, velcro and buggies to secure everything for scratch and dent free trasporting. The guys at ORS are great to work with!

Worked great on long haul and in all weather conditions. For my vehicle, needed extra set of glass hooks; 2 came with product, so purchased 2 more. Not shown on directions, but need 2 for bottom and 2 for side. (No place to hook norm hooks to bottom of CR-V.)

Krystal J. answers - No. I was told the Quickback only works on Honda Odyssey models beginning with 1999 and newer. In fact no Yakima or Thule trunk bike racks work on the 1997 Odyssey. Good news though, the Saris Bones 3 trunk rack works very well on the '97 Odyssey. That's what I use and works awesome.
ASP asks - Can this trunk bike rack be placed on the back of a Chevy Equinox?
Barlow answers - I use the Yakima QuickBack on my 2008 Chevy Equinox no problem. Been using just about every weekend to and from the rail trail for about 6 months now, never have had any issues.

RACKDAWG answers - Yep, you are good to go. Fits great as a 2004 Honda Accord EX trunk bike rack even withthe rear spoiler.
Ray asks - Does the QuickBack work with 2005 Honda Odyssey? I have asked Yakima Racks about that, but they said it did not work because of the spoiler. Of course, I want to hear it from somebody here. Any suggestions?
ORS Racks Direct crew answers - Trunk racks are not recommeded for the 2005 Honda Odyssey because the small spoiler on the rear roof top is placed exactly where the upper trunk rack straps need to be anchored. Unfortunately the spoiler has proven to be a very weak anchor point and can fail when holding the weight of the rack and bikes. A good alternative for a 2005 Honda Odyssey bike rack is using any hitch bike rack mounted to a trailer hitch.
Sue asks - Can I use this rear mount bike rack on a conversion van?
ORS Crew answers - Yes it will work on certain model conversion vans such as Ford etc. Your best bet is to use our Yakima Racks Automated Fit Guide to determine compatibility with your specific year/make/model conversion van.
Jai asks - Does the Quickback 3 work on a 2010 Mazda 5?
ORS Crew answers - No, Yakima trunk racks will not work as 2010 Mazda 5 trunk bike racks due to the vehicle being unable to support the weight of the carrier and bicycles where the attachment hooks would need to be placed. However all of the Thule trunk bike racks are compatible.
