NOTE: The silver color Yakima 07179 SkyBox Pro 16 is the same as the Yakima 07196 SkyBox Pro 16, Yakima 07180 Sky Box Pro 16 and Yakima 07178 Sky Box 16 except that the 07196 SkyBox Pro 16 has a glossy black onyx color finish, the 07180 SkyBox Pro 16 features a beautiful titanium color finish and the 07178 SkyBox 16 has a more subdued black matte finish. Great Roof Box

This box is super easy to open and close, that is what I like most, no struggling. It was designed to be opened easily with one hand and it truly is. It fits nicely on top of my Toyota Matrix. Because the rear of the box is angled, it clears the hatch door too. It is also quiet up on the roof rack, which is especially nice. I’ve had racks in the past that make all sorts of noise. Not so with this one. Great box, definitely recommend.

This box fits great on my 2009 Volvo XC90 stock roof rack crossbars. It doesn’t hamper opening the rear hatch as some longer boxes do. I’ve loaded this box to capacity and even at highway speeds, it didn’t move or make any noise. I’ve been caught in some heavy downpours as well and it keeps the contents completely dry. I would highly recommend this box.

ORS Crew says - The Yakima SkyBox Pro 16 cargo box has a very long range of adjustment to fit nearly any distance between the front roof rack crossbar and the rear roof rack cross bar (referred to as crossbar spread). In fact it'll fit any crossbars with a spread as short as 24 inches and as long as 36 inches.
ORS Crew says - Yakima has designed the Sky Box and Sky Box Pro series boxes with an angled undercut in the rear tail of the box. This allows the rear back door or hatch on cars to open up fully. A very nice touch.

This car roof mount luggage / cargo box connects directly to Yakima multi-purpose base rack round crossbars, Inno roof rack bars, all styles of Thule base rack load bars and virtually all factory roof rack cross bars. At order checkout we will obtain your vehicle year/make/model info to ensure this cargo carrier is compatible.
We offer 2 fulfillment options for cargo boxes:
1) Shipment by freight to residential/commercial addresses
2) In-store pickup.

1) For Shipments to Residential and Commercial Addresses
(choose delivery method of “SHIPS VIA FREIGHT”)
PLEASE NOTE: An additional freight charge of $50.00 will be added to your order as this item cannot be shipped via UPS/Fed Ex due to its oversize dimensions and must be shipped via freight & we ask that you please allow up to 2-3 weeks for delivery of this item. For your convenience this item ships directly to both residential and commercial business addresses, please supply either a residential or commercial business address for delivery at checkout. Please inspect your Cargo/Gear Box before signing and accepting delivery (this means removal from the cardboard carton and inspection for any visible damage as well as function of hinges/lid supports/locks) from freight company as ORS Racks Direct cannot accept returns or damage claims of these items after delivery has been accepted by the customer. If the box is damaged and unacceptable please refuse delivery with the LTL Freight company and contact us for resolution. If you have any questions concerning shipping and/or delivery please contact us, we're glad to help!

$50.00 freight charge will be waived. 6% Vermont Sales Tax WILL apply.
