Installed in 20 minutes on the factory cross bars. Needed the lift kit for snowboard binding clearance. Much needed and well worth it... wish I had it at the beginning of the season.

It isn't that hard to install and it comes with all the pieces. I just went to Holiday Valley on a ski trip and had to transport 3 pairs of skis and a snowboard, and that is exactly how much space it had. I have used several times since and have had 0 problems. I would recommend for the price fo' sho!

The Buttondown’s best feature is the price. It is way cheaper than all the other options out there that I looked at, and it comes with locks and the attachments needed for factory bars. Installed easily on my Saturn Outlook. I’ve had it crammed with six pairs of skis and it worked great. No problem with carrying snowboards and skis at the same time either.

I have the Yakama Button Down ski rack and I used it all last winter. It functions well and looks good. You'll have a tough time finding a rack this good for the price. Even includes locks.

Mitch asks - What are the dimensions(lenght/height/width) of this rack? I need it to fit within my existing bike trays.
Rack James answers - The Buttondown Aero is 28-1/2" long, outside to outside. The inside dimension, or usable width for carrying skis/boards, is 22-3/4". It stands 5" tall on top of your crossbars and is about 1-1/2" wide.
