The Yakima SprocketRocket fork mount bike rack (8002090) represents the industry's highest level of design-style and technical sophistication. The universal Sprocket Rocket bike carrier works equally well with all types of bikes and is compatible with all disc-brake bicycles. It is one of the more expensive bike racks but well worth it. It is extremely sturdy, aerodynamic and much more stylish than the others. The wheel strap slides to easily accommodate bikes of any length. Much better than any of the less expensive racks that I have owned in the past.

Pretty expensive but it is probably the best fork mounted bike carrier out there. Super stylish too. The skewer is bomber. The wheel strap slides back and forth all nice and easy like. Beats the heck out of the cheaper trays out there. If you own a nice bike, get this.

Here is an example why I love Yakima. Check out how cool and sleek looking this rack is compared to other brands. And you won’t believe how rugged it is. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want my bike swaying back and forth when I’m flying down the interstate at 80 mph or worse, flying off the roof. My bikes don't budge when secured to this thing. Don't mess around, this thing is primo.

Man I love this rack. I have a Trek Madone 6.9 SL and wanted the best bike rack I could get for it. I was sold on the SprocketRocket when I felt how beefy the tray is and how seriously well made the skewer that holds it all down is. Man, the thing is heavy duty. And it’s easy to use and I expect it to last longer than my Madone, but when I’m ready to upgrade my bike, I won’t be needing to upgrade my rack, that’s for sure. Yeah it is a bit on the pricey side, but you won’t be sorry, trust me.

The Yakima Sprocket Rocket fits all bicycle sizes and shapes including road racing bikes with skinny tires on up to very fat 3 inch wide freeride and downhill bikes as well as 29ers. Fork mount design delivers very aerodynamic and fuel efficient performance. Best in class one handed skewer adjustment using super easy to use over-sized red knob. Make tightening adjustment to skewer the first time and never worry about adjusting again. Simply place bike on fork mount and close shut the skewer lever. Best in class rear ratcheting strap is optionally adjustable from either side of the bike rack. Yakima SprocketRocket bicycle carrier mounts to Yakima round bars and Thule square bars directly. If interested in carrying a bike on factory rack crossbars you will need to choose one of Yakima Racks upright mount bike racks (both wheels remain on when loading onto bike rack). Optionally lock bicycle inside the carrier using a Yakima SKS lock core. Also, when the Yakima Sprocket Rocket skewer is inserted and locked closed using a Yakima lock core, it prevents anyone from being able to pull up the red tab on the SprocketRocket head assembly and steal the bike rack itself.
